Cattle

Prizes in each class 1st £20, 2nd £15, 3rd £10. Entry fee £2

Cattle are to be on the showground by 10am and not to be moved until after the Grand Parade.
Judging at 11am. All prize winning Cattle must take part in the Prize Winners parade at 3pm or the
prize money will be forfeited.
Beef cattle – An appearance payment of £10 per animal up to a maximum of 5 entries per person, will be paid.

Clause – if there are enough entries of a single breed it will be made into its own class.

Trophies

The Collingham Cup will be awarded for the Best Beef Type animal.

P.H. Waddington Memorial Cup will be awarded for the Best Beast of the opposite sex to the Champion.

A. Hurt on Cup will be presented to the Reserve Champion.

Young Handler Tankard will be awarded to the winner of class 15.

Class 12 Commercial Beef 
Class 12a Best cross bred Steer

Class 13 Any pure Bred Continental Beef

Class 14 Any pure bred Beef breed

Class 14a Junior Heifer

Class 14b Cow or senior Heifer
Class 15 Young handler – between 12 -19 years of age. Beef animal suitable to be led by a young handler, an experienced adult must be nearby. To be judged on the showing and handling ability and NOT the quality of the animal.

The Society, its Officers or Servants, shall not be responsible for any accident, damage or loss, however caused, that may occur to any exhibitor or his servant, or, to any animal, article, or property brought into the Showground, or, while entering or leaving or being carried into or out of the said Showground. Each exhibitor shall be solely responsible for any loss, injury or damage that may be done to or occasioned by, or arising from any animal, article, or property exhibited or brought onto the Showground by him, he shall indemnify and hold harmless the Society from and against actions, suits, expenses and claims on account of or in respect of any such damage or injury which may be caused or occasioned. It is therefore recommended that exhibitors insure against fire and such liabilities as the exhibitor May occur under the Show’s Regulations.
